Oh The Horror! (2023) | Live Performance

Oh The Horror! was an ensemble performance by my theatre company innominate -  comprised of six artists working innovatively in visual arts and live performance grounded in the transformative qualities of sound, props, objects and moving image in combination with live performance. Using the conventions of storytelling and dark comedy we created a sensory surrealist world, experimenting with the interplay between live and mediated theatrical forms.

Oh the Horror! Blurb:
After Sue Meetrop, a bloodthirsty dissection artist escapes beyond the Realm of Media and into the Realm of Reality, the hosts of a popular podcast, their live advert partner and a listener of the show set off on a wild goose chase to find Meetrop and place her back within the confines of the screen. Along the way, the group encounters dangerous obstacles ahead. Can they stop Meetrop’s outrageous behaviour from escalating into the real world before it is too late? The journey is afoot. But is there an additional spanner in the works?
